The President called on the General Manager for a report and his report surveyed the work going on in the plant in the way of repairing the moulds and making new moulds. He gave the number of men and the amount of wages paid all those on the payroll, explaining to the Board that he had reduced as low as possible in order to do this work and be ready to start the plant again on the resumption of business. The report also stated that all the furnace fires had been put out and that part of Tank No. 1 had been converted into an oil burning furnace in order to take care of the orders for stock on which we may run short or in making Insulators not stocked so far.

The General Manager recommended that a strong sales organization be built up to go after the soft drink bottle business as well as the Insulator orders.

The President related his experiences while on his Muncie and New York trip, and discussed the Insulator business fully and also the Soft Drink Bottle outlook, and after thoroughly discussing all matters pertaining to the industry, the meeting adjourned.
